The house
Blue House is a whole two-bedroom house on the Corong-Corong side of El Nido, tucked between a protected mangrove and the limestone cliffs. Two air-conditioned bedrooms, a full kitchen, a six-seat dining table, a living room, and a garden with the cliff for a view. The bus terminal and the public market are three minutes’ walk; Corong-Corong beach is about five hundred metres.

The honest version
Good to know before you book
- This is a nature retreat. Internet and mobile signal can be limited or intermittent.
- Power cuts are common in El Nido and the house has no backup generator. During an outage, electricity, WiFi and air-conditioning are off until the supply returns.
- Keep doors closed in the afternoons and evenings so curious wildlife stays outside. The windows have screens, and there are insect zappers.
- On very rare occasions a high tide brings water into the alley. It recedes with the tide.
